
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh inspects disaster relief work in Dien Bien province
MPS - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, accompanied by a high-ranking delegation, inspected post-flood relief efforts in Na Son and Tia Dinh communes, two of the most severely affected localities in the former Dien Bien Dong district of Dien Bien province, on August 3, 2025.

During the visit, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh inquired after flood-affected residents, extended heartfelt condolences to the families that had lost loved ones and presented them with essential supplies.

The Prime Minister commended the Public Security Forces, the People’s Army, local authorities and grassroots-level officials who had wholeheartedly supported the people in overcoming the disaster aftermath and stabilizing their lives despite hazardous weather conditions.
He urged Dien Bien province to promptly help residents recover from the aftermath of the floods, required the local police and authorities to ensure traffic safety and public healthcare services, arrange resettlements for affected households, and early restore normal lives, business and production in flood-affected areas.

The Prime Minister also directed ministries and sectors to closely coordinate with the local authorities to expedite recovery efforts, ensuring that no resident is left without food, medicine, clean water while preventing disease outbreaks in the post-disaster time.

The visit of the Prime Minister displayed the special attention of the Party and State toward people in remote and disaster-affected areas, and served as a source of encouragement for the people of Dien Bien to overcome the hardships and gradually return to normal life.
