Hanoi City Police Department celebrates 80th founding anniversary of Public Security Forces

At the ceremony, the Hanoi City Police Department was awarded the First-class Feat-of-Arms Order in recognition of its outstanding achievements over the years.

The event was attended by a number of high-ranking officials, including Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Public Security Central Party Committee and Minister of Public Security General Luong Tam Quang; Member of the Party Central Committee and Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Tran Sy Thanh; Deputy Minister of Ethnic and Religious Affairs Nguyen Hai Trung; Deputy Prosecutor General of the Supreme People’s Procuracy Tran Hai Quan; and Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee and Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Council Nguyen Ngoc Tuan.

In his remarks, Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Tran Sy Thanh emphasized that, throughout every stage of the revolution, the Hanoi Police Force has consistently developed and grown in all aspects, and always fostered its political will and absolute loyalty to the Party, the State and the People.

He affirmed that the force with its intelligence, bravery and unwavering political will has overcome numerous challenges and excellently completed its assigned tasks.

For its outstanding achievements over the past years, the Party and State awarded the Hanoi City Police Department the First-class Feat-of-Arms Order.

Speaking at the ceremony, on behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security, Minister Luong Tam Quang acknowledged and highly appreciated the relentless efforts and outstanding achievements of the Hanoi Police Force over the past 80 years.

Discussing the local police’s tasks, Minister Luong Tam Quang urged the Hanoi Police Force to continue promoting its glorious traditions and make additional effort to build a clean, strong, regular, elite and modern capital police force with the goal of achieving the full modernization of the force by 2030.

He also emphasized that the Hanoi City Police Department should continue to serve as a national-level role-model in implementing the guidelines and strategies of the Party, the State, the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security in safeguarding national security and ensuring social order and safety.

The Minister also requested that the Department continue to maintain political stability, achieve a sustainable reduction in social order-related crimes, prevent criminal activities from becoming rampant or causing public concern and thoroughly grasp the situation to avoid any unexpected security scenarios.
