Seven Vietnamese People’s Public Security officers deployed to MINUSCA

The Ministry of Public Security held a ceremony, on October 1, 2026, in Hanoi, to announce the President’s Decision on deploying officers of the Vietnamese People’s Public Security Forces to undertake United Nations peacekeeping duties at MINUSCA in 2026.

Attending the ceremony were representatives of units under the Ministry of Public Security, members of the Steering Committee for Project 05, and the officers selected for deployment to MINUSCA in the Central African Republic to perform United Nations peacekeeping duties.

At the ceremony, a representative of the Department of Personnel and Organization announced the President’s Decision to deploy seven officers of the Vietnamese People’s Public Security Forces to MINUSCA in the Central African Republic for United Nations peacekeeping duties.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister Pham The Tung stated that the Ministry of Public Security has sent four working teams, involving 25 individual officer deployments, to perform peacekeeping duties in 2026, the largest number of officers deployed by the Ministry to date.

He stressed that this marks an important step forward for the Ministry of Public Security’s peacekeeping force, reflecting the United Nations Organization’s recognition of the competence and professionalism of Vietnamese People’s Public Security officers, as well as the Ministry’s thorough preparations for participation of its personnel in United Nations peacekeeping operations.

Deputy Minister Pham The Tung expressed his confidence that, building on the proud traditions of the People’s Public Security Forces, together with the Ministry’s careful preparation and its appointed personnel’s strong determination, the deployment to MINUSCA would be successfully completed, further promoting the proud image of the Vietnamese People’s Public Security officer while undertaking United Nations peacekeeping operations.

The Deputy Minister emphasized that the seven to-be deployed officers should regard the assignment as their great honor and responsibility. As the chosen officers, they represent not only the Vietnamese People’s Public Security Forces but also the country and the people of Vietnam in an international environment.

He urged them to maintain firm political resolve, exemplary conduct, solidarity and a strong sense of responsibility, as well as to make full use of their professional capabilities, knowledge, experience and skills, and successfully accomplish all assigned duties.

On behalf of Working Team No. 10, Captain Nguyen Lan Anh pledged that the team would strive to successfully fulfill all tasks assigned by the Ministry of Public Security and the United Nations; uphold and continue the heroic and glorious traditions of the Vietnamese People’s Public Security Force in contributing to the early and proactive protection of the Fatherland from afar; and demonstrate the professionalism, responsibility and discipline of Vietnamese People’s Public Security officers in a multinational working environment.

She also pledged that the team would contribute to further promoting the image of Vietnamese people as friendly, peace-loving, eager-to-learn and responsible members of the international community, thereby living up to the expectations and trust placed in them by the Ministry’s leadership.
