Minister Luong Tam Quang meets Hung Yen voters ahead of 16th National Assembly’s 2nd session

The delegation included Politburo Member, Secretary of the Executive Committee of the Public Security CPV Organization, and Minister of Public Security General Luong Tam Quang; Member of the CPV Central Committee, State Auditor General, and Head of the Hung Yen Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies Nguyen Huu Nghia; Full-time Deputy Head of the Delegation Nguyen Van Huy; Deputy Head of the Office of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thuy Ngan; Deputy Chairwoman of the National Assembly’s Committee on Economy and Finance Doan Thi Thanh Mai; alongside other deputies representing the province.

At the meeting, Head of the Hung Yen Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies Nguyen Huu Nghia briefed voters on the expected agenda and program of the upcoming second session of the 16th National Assembly, and presented a report on the provincial delegation's activities since the conclusion of the first session.

During the upcoming session, the National Assembly will consider and decide on 45 legislative matters, including the anticipated adoption of 43 laws and normative legal resolutions, as well as initial deliberations on two draft laws. These include key pieces of legislation such as the Penal Code, the Land Law, the Housing Law, and the Law on the State Budget.

Additionally, the National Assembly will deliberate on 10 major groups of issues concerning socio-economic affairs, the state budget, parliamentary supervision, and other key matters under its jurisdiction; conduct question-and-answer sessions; pass the Resolution of the Second Session; and decide on other important issues.

Speaking at the conference, Minister Luong Tam Quang emphasized that the second session of the 16th National Assembly will handle a substantial workload focused on swiftly translating Party guidelines and resolutions into practice, yielding tangible results that citizens can directly feel, monitor and benefit from.

Acknowledging the voters' feedback, the Minister affirmed that the Party and State are taking decisive action to ensure that newly enacted policies maximize the protection of citizens' legitimate rights and interests.

Regarding voters' petitions, Minister Luong Tam Quang noted that the provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies would fully compile issues falling under central-level jurisdiction and then submit them to the National Assembly, the Government, and relevant ministries and agencies, while closely monitoring resolution progress.

For matters within the jurisdiction of provincial and ward-level authorities, he requested a clear delineation of responsibilities and focused efforts to thoroughly resolve the issues and respond to voters.

Emphasizing that voter feedback serves as a critical channel for evaluating policy feasibility, the Minister expressed his hope that the public would continue to monitor and contribute opinions to the activities of the National Assembly Delegation, State agencies, and the Public Security Forces. He assured voters that delegation members would continuously listen to and urge the prompt resolution of the people's legitimate aspirations.
