MPS builds educational facility for disabled children in Cao Bang

Attending the ceremony were Member of the CPV Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Long; and Member of the CPV Central Committee, Secretary of the Cao Bang Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Cao Bang Provincial People’s Council Phan Thang An.

The facility will be constructed in Area E of the Provincial Continuing Education Center in Thuc Phan Ward during the 2026–2027 period.

The project is funded with support from the Ministry of Public Security, together with contributions from partner organizations, the local budget and other sources.

It aims to provide children with disabilities with an appropriate environment for learning, care and personal development, enabling them to develop their potential and gradually integrate into the community.

The project comprises two new two-story buildings: a classroom block with approximately 3,950 square meters and a 3,550-square-meter boarding block with 46 rooms for students.

It will also have well-furnished classrooms, physical therapy and life-skills rooms, technical infrastructure and equipment for learning, care and daily activities.

Construction is scheduled to begin in September 2026 and to be completed in October 2027, with the facility expected to be handed over and put into operation in the fourth quarter of 2027.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Long emphasized that the construction of the educational facility for children with disabilities in Cao Bang carried practical and profound humanitarian significance, as it would provide children with disabilities with an appropriate environment for learning, care and rehabilitation while helping ease the difficulties faced by their families and the community.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Long proposed that Cao Bang province closely direct the implementation of the project, ensuring its progress and quality as well as the effective use of resources.

The Deputy Minister further suggested that the province proactively prepare managerial staff, teachers, employees and other operational conditions, with particular attention paid to special education and early intervention.

He stressed that the facility should be developed into a provincial hub for inclusive education, strengthening connections among schools, families and society.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Long affirmed that the Public Security Forces would continue to accompany the Party organization, authorities and people of Cao Bang province in socio-economic development, national defense and security assurance, as well as in the implementation of social welfare programs, contributing to ensuring that children can attend school and that vulnerable people have greater opportunities to improve their lives.

On this occasion, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Long and Secretary of the Cao Bang Provincial Party Committee Phan Thang An presented gifts to the officials, teachers and students of the educational facility for children with disabilities.

Earlier the same morning, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Long attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the Golden Square Cao Bang Social Housing Project at Lot 10 of the De Tham New Urban Area in Thuc Phan Ward.

This is the first social housing project in Cao Bang province to serve members of the armed forces and other beneficiaries eligible for social housing assistance.

Later that afternoon, as part of his working trip to Cao Bang Province, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Long led a delegation to visit disadvantaged households in Khanh Xuan Commune, present them with gifts and hand over solar power systems to local people.
