“Light of Independence – Aspiration for a Strong Viet Nam”

The program took place in the jubilant atmosphere celebrating the 81st anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (September 2), the 81st Traditional Day of the People’s Public Security Forces, and the 21st anniversary of the “All People Protecting National Security” Festival. 

Present at the program were Politburo Member, Member of the Secretariat and Chairman of the Commission for Publicity of CPVCC General Trinh Van Quyet; Politburo Member, Secretary of the Public Security CPV Committee and Minister of Public Security General Luong Tam Quang; Politburo Member, Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs CPV Committee and Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung; Politburo Member and President of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics Doan Minh Huan; Member of the Secretariat and Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra; Member of the Secretariat and Chief Justice of the Supreme People’s Court Nguyen Van Quang; and Member of the CPV Central Committee and Vice President of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh.

Member of the CPV Central Committee and Editor-in-Chief of the Communist Review Duong Trung Y served as Head of the Organizing Committee.

The 2026 “Independence Star” political art program, themed “Light of Independence – Aspiration for a Strong Vietnam,” presented audiences nationwide with heroic, moving, and deeply reflective moments.

Drawing inspiration from the historic autumn of independence, the program evoked a profound sense of national pride, gratitude, confidence, and the aspiration to contribute to the nation. It served as a powerful impetus for the entire Party, people, and armed forces to stand united in purpose, overcome all difficulties and challenges, and remain resolute in building and firmly safeguarding the Fatherland for a peaceful, independent, democratic, prosperous, civilized, and happy Vietnam.

Artistic structure

Chapter I: “Revolutionary Autumn – Glorious Pages of History” — Recreated the historic moment when the Vietnamese nation rose up to seize power, ushering in an era of independence, freedom, and mastery over the country's destiny.

Chapter II: “Radiant National Righteousness – Advancing the Nation” — Deeply portrayed the noble character and beauty of the Vietnamese people, whose spirit of independence, patriotism, and national integrity were forged, tested, and shone brightly through years of prolonged resistance.

Chapter III: “Pioneering Mettle – Aspiration for a Strong Nation” — Unveiled a vision for shaping the nation's future in the new era of development.

The concluding message of the program served as a call from history: cherish the past, master the present, and confidently build the future; turn pride into resolve and aspiration into concrete action; and join hands to lead the country forward into a new era of development.
