Announcing report on inspection of the Standing Board of the Public Security Central Party Committee

The Politburo and Secretariat’s Inspection and Supervision Delegation No. 26, headed by Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Head of the Central Commission for Policy and Strategy Nguyen Thanh Nghi, announced a report on the results of the second-phase inspection and supervision of the Public Security Central Party Committee, on the afternoon of June 5, in Hanoi.

Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Public Security Central Party Committee and Minister of Public Security General Luong Tam Quang led a delegation of the Public Security Central Party Committee to work with the inspection group.

At the working session, a representative of Inspection and Supervision Delegation No. 26 presented the report on the results of the second-phase inspection and supervision of the Public Security Central Party Committee.

The inspection results showed that, in spite of the fact that the Public Security Central Party Committee had had to direct the Public Security Forces to simultaneously implement a number of resolutions issued by the Party Central Committee in a short period of time while facing various difficulties and challenges due to the newly assigned responsibilities, the Standing Board of the Public Security Central Party Committee had still succeeded in handling the heavy workload and directing the entire Public Security Forces to implement the resolutions and achieved initial positive results.

Specifically, the Standing Board of the Public Security Central Party Committee directed public security units and agencies nationwide to seriously implement the Party Central Committee’s resolutions and conclusions on restructuring and streamlining the political system toward greater effectiveness and efficiency.

In addition, Party organizations and Party members throughout the Public Security Forces demonstrated a proactive and pioneering spirit, affirming the core role of the Public Security Forces in creating a favorable environment and conditions for socio-economic development.

Addressing the session, Head of the Central Commission for Policy and Strategy Nguyen Thanh Nghi highly appreciated the achievements of the Standing Board of the Public Security Central Party Committee as well as the entire Public Security Forces over the past time.

Based on the inspection results, he requested the Standing Board of the Public Security Central Party Committee to promptly address the shortcomings and break through the deadlocks identified during the inspection.

He also suggested the Public Security Central Party Committee draft plans to ensure adequate supplies of resources, facilities, equipment and means for public security units and agencies to effectively perform their assigned tasks.

He noted that the Standing Board of the Public Security Central Party Committee should continue directing the Public Security Forces to thoroughly grasp and precisely forecast situations to ensure that no circumstances create strategic surprise in safeguarding security and order.

The Standing Board should also enhance efforts to prevent and combat all types of crime, especially emerging cybercrime, thereby creating a secure environment conducive to production and business activities and the achievement of double-digit economic growth targets.

In his remarks, Minister Luong Tam Quang emphasized that the Standing Board of the Public Security Central Party Committee had consistently maintained its pioneering role in directing Party organizations and Party members throughout the Public Security Forces to uphold a high sense of responsibility and ensure the quality and progress of their assigned tasks.

In the coming period, the Standing Board of the Public Security Central Party Committee will strive to lead the Public Security Forces to successful implementation of the Party Central Committee’s resolutions and directives on restructuring and streamlining the political system toward greater effectiveness and efficiency, while further reorganizing internal structures.

It will also focus on directing and closely monitoring the implementation of their assigned tasks according to specific roadmaps and timelines.
