The minister added that the cooperation between the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and Singaporean law enforcement agencies has recently recorded many positive outcomes. At the meeting, Minister Luong Tam Quang proposed that the two sides continue to enhance strategic information exchange on issues of mutual concern; strengthen regular cooperation mechanisms of exchanging information of crimes, particularly transnational organized crime, drug-related crime, economic crime and fraud; and promptly address issues involving one country’s citizens offended in the other.
He also suggested maintaining frequent exchanges of high-level and professional delegations to enhance mutual understanding and explore cooperation opportunities in areas of potential and strengths of the two sides, such as combating high-tech crime and applying science and technology in crime prevention and control.
