Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son commends Dak Lak Provincial Police Department

The local police started their investigation of the case from January 2026. Accordingly, the Dak Lak Provincial Police Department first detected some counterfeit bio-pesticides on the market, and then discovered inter-provincial networks of producing and trading the counterfeits. 

The Dak Lak Provincial Police Department immediately launched an investigation into the case. During the investigation, it coordinated closely with police departments of Southern provinces and cities.

After a relatively short time, the group of investigators successfully dismantled two large-scale criminal networks of producing and trading counterfeit plant protection products and counterfeit rice seeds, which had branches in various cities and provinces across the country.

During their searches at the counterfeit bio-pesticide trading and producing facilities, the police seized a large quantity of counterfeit finished bio-pesticide products, valued at some billions of VND.

On behalf of the National Steering Committee against Smuggling, Trade Fraud and Counterfeit Goods, Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son commended the involved units and officers for their outstanding achievements.

The clearance of the cases is a vivid testament to the local police’s strong determination and high sense of responsibility in the fight against smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods, contributing to protecting the country’s agricultural production, ensuring food security and bringing peace and happiness to the people.

The Deputy Prime Minister requested the local police to building on these achievements to early detect, prevent and strictly handle acts of smuggling, transportation of prohibited goods, trade fraud and counterfeit goods in their localities in the time ahead.

He also requested competent authorities to appropriately commended units and officers who attain outstanding achievements in the fight against smuggling, transportation of prohibited goods, trade fraud and counterfeit goods.

Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son wished the Dak Lak Provincial Police to achieve more success at work in the coming time.
