
Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung works with University of Fire Prevention and Fighting
Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Le Quoc Hung had a working session with the University of Fire Prevention and Fighting, on March 30 in Hanoi.

Briefing the Deputy Minister on the overall situation in the university, Rector of the University of Fire Prevention and Fighting Lieutenant General Le Quang Bon stated that, since the beginning of the 2025–2026 academic year, the university has seriously and effectively implemented the adopted education and training plan.
The university has also paid due attention to improving the quality of its education and training while strengthening the management of its students in line with the current regulations and promoting theoretical research, scientific research and digital transformation. As a result, it has so far achieved a number of positive work results.
At the working session, representatives of units under the university highlighted advantages as well as discussed their difficulties in performing their assigned tasks. They also proposed solutions to further improve the quality of the university’s education and training in the coming period.
Addressing the session, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung requested that the university continue to develop new training models and enhance research and application of science and technology to fire prevention and fighting in real conditions.
He emphasized the need to launch research projects on key areas, including effective firefighting approaches in high-rise and super high-rise buildings, fighting fires involving chemicals, petroleum and hazardous or radioactive substances, firefighting plans in basements and underground structures, approaches to efficiently prevent and fight forest fire, and firefighting on ships or boats.
The Deputy Minister also urged the university to expand cooperation with units both within and outside the Public Security Forces, while strengthening international cooperation to acquire useful experience, advanced knowledge and technology in the field of fire prevention and fighting.
These development orientations, he noted, would help the university to enhance its capacity and improve its position and prestige internationally.
