Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To retires from work

The Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security held a ceremony to announce the Politburo’s conclusion and the Prime Minister’s decision on personnel matters, on the afternoon of March 2 in Hanoi.

At the event, Director of the Department of Organization and Personnel Lieutenant General Hoang Duc Lung officially announced the Politburo’s conclusion and the Prime Minister’s decision regarding personnel matters.

Accordingly, the Politburo and the Prime Minister agreed that Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To, Member of the 13th Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Public Security Central Party Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security and Deputy to the 15th National Assembly, would cease holding the position of Deputy Minister of Public Security and retire from work as of March 1, 2026, while continuing to serve as a National Assembly deputy until the end of the 15th National Assembly’s term.

Speaking at the ceremony, on behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry’s leadership, Minister Luong Tam Quang affirmed that Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To is a well-trained officer who has experienced various working positions from the grassroots level to the Central. During his career, he continuously held important leading posts in the Public Security Forces as well as in the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee.

He described Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To as an exemplary Party member and outstanding public security officer with strong political integrity, absolute loyalty to the Fatherland, the People and the Communist Party of Vietnam, who has excellent moral qualities, a steadfast political and ideological stance, as well as rich experience in leadership, command and management, and always accomplishes all assigned tasks.

In particular, as a Deputy Minister of Public Security, Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To always joined the Standing Board of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security’s leadership to lead the Public Security Forces to achieve successes in safeguarding security and order as well as force building in the past years.

Minister Luong Tam Quang expressed his hope and confidence that Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To, with his experience, high sense of responsibility and deep affection for the forces, will continue to provide valuable opinions to the Public Security Central Party Committee, the Ministry’s leadership and Party committees and leaders of public security units and agencies on the work of safeguarding security and order and building the Public Security Forces.

In his remarks, Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To expressed his profound gratitude to agencies, organizations as well as leaders, comrades and colleagues who have studied and worked with him during his career.

He affirmed that he will remain forever loyal to the Party, the Fatherland, the Public Security Forces and the People, and uphold the noble qualities of a Party member and a public security officer after his retirement.
