
MPS leadership meets with NA deputies as public security officers
Member of the Politburo and Minister of Public Security General Luong Tam Quang, a deputy to the 16th National Assembly, chaired a meeting with National Assembly (NA) deputies working as officers in the Public Security Forces to provide key information regarding security and order protection, force building and law-drafting work of the Ministry of Public Security, on the afternoon of April 6 in Hanoi.

The meeting was also attended by Deputy Ministers of Public Security: Senior Lieutenant General Le Quoc Hung, a deputy to the 16th National Assembly; Senior Lieutenant General Le Van Tuyen; and Lieutenant General Dang Hong Duc.
Also present at the event were National Assembly deputies who work in the Public Security Forces, including Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the National Assembly Standing Committee and Chairman of the National Assembly Committee for National Defense, Security and Foreign Affairs Senior Lieutenant General Le Tan Toi.
As a regular practice ahead of each NA session, the Ministry of Public Security organizes meetings with the NA deputies of the Public Security Forces to provide key information on security and order, force building and law-making work, ensuring thorough preparation for participation in the session.

Addressing the meeting, Minister Luong Tam Quang emphasized that the first session of the 16th National Assembly holds special significance as the country enters a new stage of development, with heightened requirements for maintaining political stability, safeguarding national security, ensuring social order and safety and improving institutions for rapid and sustainable development.
At the meeting, representatives of functional units under the Ministry presented key contents and major issues related to draft resolutions of the National Assembly for which the Ministry of Public Security is the drafting body.
Concluding the meeting, Minister Luong Tam Quang acknowledged and highly appreciated the opinions given by the deputies at the meeting, saying that the first session of the 16th National Assembly is an important political task for each deputy of the Public Security Forces.
He requested that deputies bring into full play their roles and responsibilities, proactively engage in discussions and contribute substantive, concise and well-founded opinions at the upcoming NA session, closely aligned with the practical work of the Public Security Forces while reflecting the guiding viewpoints of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security.
