
MPS launches “Clean up the world” campaign
The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) held a ceremony to launch the “Clean up the World” campaign, on the morning of October 10, in Phu Tho province.

Director of the Department of Health Major General Pham Thi Lan Anh and Director of the Phu Tho Provincial Police Department Major General Nguyen Minh Tuan co-chaired the ceremony.

Speaking at the event, Major General Nguyen Minh Tuan emphasized that the “Clean up the World” campaign holds profound significance as it provides an opportunity for the Public Security Forces to reaffirm their role and responsibility in environmental protection and climate change response.
He called on every public security officer and enlistee to actively participate in the campaign with concrete and practical pro-environmental actions at their workplaces as well as join hands with local people to preserve a green, clean and beautiful environment.

Delivering her remarks at the ceremony, Major General Pham Thi Lan Anh highlighted that, in recent years, the Department of Health has actively advised the Ministry’s leadership to direct public security units nationwide to effectively implement environmental protection measures.
She stressed that the campaign aims not only to raise officers and enlistees’ awareness and responsibility for environmental protection but also to spread the message of a green living lifestyle to the broader community.

Following the launching ceremony, a series of meaningful activities were carried out, including street parades to raise the public awareness of environmental protection, collecting wastes and holding a training workshop on environmental protection and climate change adaptability for officers from all communal-level police stations across Phu Tho province.
Delegates also participated in tree planting activities, contributing to preserving a cleaner and greener environment.
