Bringing together 17 teams from provinces and cities across northern Viet Nam, the contest provides an opportunity for participants to exchange experience, learn from one another and improve their professional knowledge and skills.

It also serves as a forum to reaffirm the position and role of the Grassroots Security and Order Protection Force, whose members work side by side with the People's Public Security Forces day and night to maintain peace and security in every village, hamlet and residential area, thereby contributing to strengthening the all-people national security posture from the grassroots level.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister Le Van Tuyen noted that, after two years of implementing the Law on the Grassroots Security and Order Protection Force, Party committees and local authorities at all levels have attached great importance to developing the Force in both quantity and quality.

To date, 86,094 grassroots security and order protection teams have been established nationwide, comprising 275,545 members—an increase of 272 teams and more than 36,000 members compared to the initial stage of implementation.

The Deputy Minister emphasized that the Force has become an important component directly supporting communal-level police in maintaining security and order, effectively serving as an "extended arm" of the People's Public Security Forces at the grassroots level.

To ensure the success of the northern regional contest, Deputy Minister Le Van Tuyen called on all participating teams to uphold a strong sense of responsibility, strictly observe the contest regulations and demonstrate their knowledge, professional competence and practical experience in every event.

He requested the judging panel to conduct its work objectively, fairly and impartially in selecting the best-performing teams for the national final round. He also urged the Organizing Committee to draw lessons from the northern regional contest and continue improving the content and format of subsequent rounds to ensure their highest quality.
