
Vinh Long police return lost property to foreign tourist
The Binh Phu Communal Police Station in Vinh Long province promptly assisted a foreign tourist in recovering his lost belongings, on March 23, 2026.

Earlier, the Binh Phu Communal Police Station received a brown wallet from Vo Van Ben (born in 1978), residing in Phu Phong 3 hamlet, Binh Phu commune, who had found it on National Highway 53 (section passing through Cho hamlet, Binh Phu commune) while going to work.
The wallet contained cash, a driver’s license and three bank cards, all bearing the name of Engelke Klaus (born in 1957, German nationality).
Immediately, the communal police coordinated with relevant forces to verify information and contacted Mr. Engelke Klaus, who was on a visit to the locality and staying at a guesthouse in Dau Giong hamlet, Binh Phu commune.
The German man the went to the Binh Phu Communal Police Station to complete the procedures for the recovery of his lost items.
Upon receiving all of his items, Mr. Engelke Klaus expressed his deep appreciation for the kindness of the Vietnamese people, particularly Mr. Vo Van Ben, and the high sense of responsibility of the local police.
The incident further contributed to promoting the positive image of the grassroots-level police force that is always dedicated to serving the community. It has also left a favorable impression of Vietnam and its people on international visitors.
