At approximately 3:30 p.m. on February 27, 2026, the Dang Thuy Tram Communal Police Station received a report from local residents that a foreigner had lost his way in Cay Muoi hamlet. The unit immediately deployed officers to the area to conduct a search for the tourist.

Having been reported by local people, police officers learned that the foreigner had been riding an off-road motorcycle from Ho Chi Minh City to Da Nang. Depending heavily on directions from Google Maps, he had inadvertently taken a rugged forest trail connecting An Lao commune (Gia Lai province) to Cay Muoi hamlet, Dang Thuy Tram commune (Quang Ngai province).

Due to the muddy terrain and cold, rainy weather, the tourist fell off his motorcycle, suffered minor abrasions to his arms and legs, and became exhausted from hunger and exposure. Language barriers and unfamiliarity with the terrain had also left him completely disoriented, forcing him to seek help from local residents.

The police promptly took the tourist to the communal medical station for examination and treatment of his injuries, and provided food and necessary support, helping him quickly recover his physical and mental condition.

After his health stabilized, the local police coordinated with a travel company in Da Nang to take him to Da Nang.

The good gesture of the grassroots-level police officers not only helped ensure security and order in the locality but also left an image of a hospitable and humane Vietnam in the eyes of international visitors.
