Opening the conference, Minister Luong Tam Quang recalled that, 80 years ago, amid the profound challenges facing a newborn revolutionary government, the People's Security Force was established with a vital historic mission: to defend the Party, the state, the public, and the socialist regime. Over eight decades of alignment with the nation's journey, the force has demonstrated absolute loyalty, cementing its position as the Party's most reliable armed wing, acting as a "sharp sword" and an "iron shield" for the nation.

In his keynote address, Mr. Trinh Van Quyet stated that the symposium carries exceptional weight. It not only honors the force's 80-year legacy of combat and growth but also provides a rigorous scientific foundation to evaluate the shifting theoretical and practical landscape of national security during Vietnam's new phase of development.

Reflecting this objective, the organizing committee received more than 100 deeply researched academic papers from scientists, military officers, public security personnel, and ministry officials. These contributions deliver crucial empirical data and insights to guide national security policymaking and help build a revolutionary, regular, elite and modern People's Security Force.
