Minister Luong Tam Quang meets with Chairman of Russian Maritime Board

Welcoming General Luong Tam Quang and the high-ranking delegation of the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security to Russia to participate in the first International Security Forum, General Nikolai Patrushev highly appreciated the positive development of the traditional friendship and Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Russia and Vietnam in various fields with security cooperation as one of the important pillars.

Expressing his sincere thanks to General Nikolai Patrushev for warmly receiving the Vietnamese delegation, Minister Luong Tam Quang underscored that the Party, State and people of Vietnam always remember the support and assistance provided by the former Soviet Union and present-day Russia, including the active and effective support and assistance personally extended by General Nikolai Patrushev to the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and its mission of safeguarding security and social order over the years.

He also expressed his hope that General Patrushev would continue to support and promote the bilateral relations, including security cooperation, in the coming period.

During the talks, the two sides exchanged views on a wide range of issues of mutual concern, aiming to further deepen the Vietnam–Russia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

Based on the suggestions made by Minister Luong Tam Quang, the two sides agreed to focus cooperation on the development of the security industry, maritime economy and human resource development.
