
Minister Luong Tam Quang inspects preparation for election in Da Nang
Member of the Politburo and Minister of Public Security General Luong Tam Quang, who is also a Member of the National Election Council, headed an inspection delegation to check the preparatory work of the Da Nang City Election Committee for the upcoming election, on February 2, 2026.

The delegation inspected the preparation made by the local election committee for the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and to People’s Councils at all local levels for the 2026–2031 term.
The delegation conducted an on-site inspection of the election preparation at a polling station in Hai Chau Ward. After the inspection, Minister Luong Tam Quang commended the local election committee on its proactive and thorough preparation, saying that all the polling facilities, the voter lists and the plans to ensure security and order during the election met the set requirements and standards for election.
Reporting to the inspection delegation, the Da Nang City Election Committee stated that the Da Nang City People’s Committee had established five election boards responsible for the National Assembly election and 23 election boards for the city-level People’s Council election, and 628 election boards for the communal-level People’s Council election.
In addition, the Da Nang City Police Department deployed synchronous measures to proactively maintain political security and ensure social order and safety, while relevant units also thoroughly prepared all facilities and conditions for the election.
Concluding the working session, Minister Luong Tam Quang commended Da Nang City for its high sense of responsibility in preparing for the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and to People’s Councils at all local levels for the 2026–2031 term.
Regarding their tasks in the coming period, the Minister requested Da Nang City to attach greater importance to ensuring absolute security, order and safety for the election, while proactively grasping the situation and developing timely and effective response plans for any scenarios possibly arising, with a view to creating a secure and safe environment for citizens to fully exercise their rights and obligations to cast their votes for the representative bodies.
The Minister also requested the Da Nang City Election Committee to direct relevant agencies to complete all phases and procedures by the election day, strictly compliance with the regulations and timelines.
