
Making the best preparations for UN Convention against Cybercrime signing ceremony
Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Pham The Tung and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Dang Hoang Giang co-chaired a meeting on the morning of September 15 in Hanoi to review the preparation for the upcoming signing ceremony of the United Nations (UN) Convention against Cybercrime.

At the meeting, a representative of the Department of Cybersecurity and Hi-tech Crimes reported on the preparatory work for the signing ceremony.

Under the chairmanship of the two deputy ministers, functional units of the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Cybersecurity Association had in-depth discussions on issues regarding the organization of the signing ceremony, and other related work.
Following the discussions, Deputy Minister Dang Hoang Giang delivered remarks and gave instructions on a number of matters related to the event’s arrangements.

Concluding the meeting, Deputy Minister Pham The Tung underscored the significance of the signing ceremony, stressing that all relevant units should see it as a key political task.
He requested members of the Steering Committee and relevant units of both ministries to make every effort to ensure that the organization of the signing ceremony be a success in terms of documentation, security, safety and diplomatic protocol, contributing to promoting Vietnam’s image and identity to international friends.

He also directed relevant public security units and agencies to implement synchronized protective measures to ensure absolute security and safety of the signing ceremony, thereby contributing to the event’s overall success and leaving a good impression on international guests.
