Member of the Politburo and Permanent Deputy Prime Minister, Pham Gia Tuc attended the event and delivered a keynote address. Attending the festival was the member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security, and Head of the Central Steering Committee for the All People Protecting National Security Movement, Lieutenant General Le Van Tuyen.
Over the past years, under the leadership of the local Party committee and authorities, the Yen Bai Commune Police have coordinated the implementation of comprehensive measures to ensure security and order. They conducted 798 patrol shifts; investigated and solved 13 social order criminal cases involving 47 offenders; and detected and handled 12 drug-related cases involving 23 suspects, contributing to maintaining a safe and stable community.
The "All-People Protecting National Security" Movement in the commune continues to grow with several highly effective community-based models, such as: "Three-Firsts Hamlet for Security and Order," "Prestigious Figures - Pillars of Peace," "Self-Governing Neighborhoods," "Self-Governing Lineages," "Safe School Gates," and the "Interlinked Security Camera Surveillance System." A network of 120 community-funded security cameras has actively supported incident detection and handling, while a 67-member grassroots security force has regularly coordinated patrols to effectively resolve emerging local issues.
The Permanent Deputy Prime Minister requested all levels and sectors to continue thoroughly grasping and effectively implementing the Party's directives and resolutions; innovate the content and forms of the "All-People Protecting National Security" Movement in alignment with digital transformation; and step up communications to raise public awareness of crime prevention.
He also urged the police forces to continue playing their core role as an advisor to the Party committees and authorities in deploying security and order solutions, while building a truly clean, strong force that is close to the people and dedicated to serving the public.
