
MPS seeks to strengthen collaboration with Chinese partners
Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Le Quoc Hung hosted a meeting with Deputy Secretary-General of the Central Political and Legal Affairs Commission of the Communist Party of China Wang Yixing on November 25, in Hanoi.

Welcoming the Deputy Secretary-General and the delegation of the Central Political and Legal Affairs Commission to the Ministry of Public Security, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung affirmed that Vietnam–China relations have witnessed positive developments in recent times, contributing to deepening the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two countries and promoting the building of a Vietnam–China Community with a Shared Future.
On this basis, the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and Chinese law enforcement agencies have implemented various cooperation activities and achieved substantive outcomes in multiple fields, including combating illegal immigration, apprehending fugitives, ensuring security and safety for high-level visits and major events with leaders of one country in the other country. The two sides also boosted collaboration in responding emergencies, countering terrorism and conducting exchanges between local police units.
To further promote cooperation between the Ministry of Public Security and Chinese law enforcement agencies in the coming time, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung stressed the need to effectively implement high-level leaders’ common understandings, enhance high-level contacts to orient bilateral security and law enforcement cooperation in each period, and bring into full play the existing mechanisms and strategic dialogues.
The Deputy Minister also suggested that both sides strengthen collaboration in combating transnational crime and apprehending fugitives, expand experience-sharing in ensuring security and safety for major events and high-level visits and promote exchanges and coordination between local police units of the two countries.
Expressing sincere thanks to Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung for the warm reception, Deputy Secretary-General Wang Yixing proposed that both sides continue to strengthen cooperation for practical and effective outcomes, contributing to advancing the Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership and deepening the Vietnam–China Community with a Shared Future, as well as to maintaining an environment of peace, stability and development in the region and the world.
